Xmarks User Manual An easy to understand guide on how to use Xmarks.

Disabling a Proxy Server

Xmarks does not work for most proxy servers. You will need to edit your Firefox network settings to disable the proxy altogether, or you can disable the proxy for just Xmarks.

For Firefox 4.0

  1. In Firefox, select the orange "Firefox" drop down menu. (Located in the top right corner)
  2. Select, "Options".
  3. Click, "Options".
  4. Select the "Advanced" tab.
  5. Select the "Network" tab.
  6. Under "Connection", click "Settings".
  7. Select "No Proxy". If you must use a proxy, select "Manual Proxy Configuration" and make sure that all settings are entered properly for your proxy. Add "sync.xmarks.com" to the existing text in the "No proxy for: " field.
  8. Click "OK" to save.

For Firefox 2.0 and 3.0

  1. In Firefox, click "Edit".
